Article Tab: posted-employee-authoritiDaniel Rojas and Juan Leon walked into Budget Mart in Santa Ana on Dec.17, 2005, with the plan to rob it, according to prosecutors.

Leon asked to see a knife that was on display, then Rojas grabbed the knife and stabbed the store employee in the stomach, officials said, in front of his wife and daughter.

The employee went behind the counter, but prosecutors allege Rojas stabbed him again.

The employee survived his injuries, and Rojas was arrested in 2006, after DNA evidence from the knife linked him to the violent robbery.

According to prosecutors, Rojas posted bail and has not been seen since.
