An argument led to the death of a 51-year-old Chino Hills woman and the arrest of the 45-year-old West Covina man who ran her over as he was driving away in a van, say San Bernardino County sheriff’s and coroner’s officials.
Zegang Wang was arrested at 10:35 p.m. Monday, May 4, along the 4400 block of Los Serranos Road and booked for investigation of murder, jail records show.
Deputies were summoned at 10:15 p.m. by reports of a domestic disturbance, investigators said in a written statement. Then they got a report of a traffic accident at the same location.
When deputies arrived, they found the woman lying in the street. She was taken to Chino Valley Medical Center where she died. Her name has not been released.
“Wang had been involved in an argument with the victim and, as he attempted to drive off, he ran over the victim,” detectives said in a written statement. “The completed investigation will be submitted to the District Attorney for review.”
