LA HABRA – A 73-year-old La Habra woman reported missing was found safe in La Habra early Wednesday morning and was returned home, police said.
Janice Hill-Samuel, who suffers from dementia, was found about 2:40 a.m. when employees at a business at Beach Boulevard and Imperial Highway saw her in the parking lot and called police, La Habra police Sgt. Sgt. Dan Henderson said.
“She was in good health and returned home by officers,” Henderson said. “There were no suspicious circumstances.”
Hill-Samuel is believed to have “run away” after she learned that family members were planning to place her in a care facility. She reportedly left behind medication that she needs after a brain injury, police said.
