ANAHEIM – An 85-year-old man returned home Monday morning, a day after his family notified police when he didn’t come back from an errand.
Kenneth Krueger returned home uninjured after a good Samaritan gave him directions, Anaheim police Sgt. Bob Dunn said.
Krueger’s return came a short time after authorities released a statement asking for the public’s help in finding him.
Krueger left his home in the 800 block of South Walnut Avenue about 6:15 a.m. Sunday, telling his wife that he was going to get coffee and a newspaper at a nearby gas station.
When Krueger didn’t return, family members called police.
Family members told police that Krueger’s disappearance is “very uncharacteristic” of him. While he doesn’t have any known medical or mental issues, police say Krueger does get lost easily.
