ORANGE – Firefighters extinguished a blaze at a recycling center in Orange on Friday afternoon, authorities said.
Crews responding to reports of a structure fire in the 2000 block of North Glassell Street about 5 p.m. discovered heavy smoke at the facility, Orange fire officials said.
Additional units were called to the scene, and firefighters from the Orange and Anaheim fire departments, along with the Orange County Fire Authority, brought the blaze under control within 30 minutes.
The fire was contained to trash and trash compactors, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
