SANTA ANA – A church that a missing woman attends has scheduled a prayer vigil Monday night in honor of her.

Calvary Church will hold a vigil at 7:30 p.m. in its courtyard in honor of Maribel Ramos.

Ramos, 36, was reported missing May 3 and was last seen about 8:30 p.m. May 2. She is an Army veteran and a student at Cal State Fullerton who is supposed to graduate May 26.

As of Sunday afternoon, police did not have an update on the search for Ramos, said Sgt. Ray Winick of the Orange Police Department.

At the church, Ramos is involved with the Local Outreach ministry, according to a press release from the church. The Local Outreach ministry volunteers in service projects throughout the community.

Monday night’s vigil will include speeches from Ramos’ family, prayers from a few of Calvary’s pastors, a candlelighting segment and information on how to spread the word about Ramos.
