BREA – A man who said he had a gun robbed a bank Tuesday morning, fleeing by car with an unknown amount of cash, according to police.
Police said the man approached a teller at Popular Community Bank at 220 S. State College Blvd. around 10:30 a.m. He showed a note saying he was armed and demanding money, officials said.
The man was last seen leaving the area in an older-model white sedan, heading north on State College, officials said. Police were unable to find him in the area.
The man was described as about 40 years old and 6 feet tall, with light skin and a thick, dark mustache, police said. He was seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, a red Oakley T-shirt and blue warm-up pants.
