SANTA ANA – Three people were charged Monday with luring a 17-year-old girl into prostitution through Facebook, the Orange County District Attorney’s Office said.
Kristian Adway, 19; Dejon Pierre Moore, 19; and Jennifer Kaye Moeggenberg, 23, face charges for human trafficking, pandering of a minor over 16 and other offenses.
Moore also has a prior strike conviction for a residential burglary in Los Angeles County in 2012, prosecutors said.
Moore is being held on $1 million bail, and Adway and Moeggenberg are being held on $250,000 bail. They will be arraigned Oct. 18 at the Central Justice Center in Santa Ana.
If convicted, Moore faces 17 years and 8 months to life in state prison, Adway faces a 14-year sentence, and Moeggenberg could be sentenced to a maximum of 12 years.
Prosecutors contend Moore contacted the girl on Facebook and used force and fear to induce her to work for him as a prostitute.
In addition, Moore, Adway, and Moeggenberg are accused of taking sexually suggestive photos of the girl and posting advertisements on websites known for prostitution. The trio was arrested in September by Anaheim police.
