ANAHEIM – Police on Monday identified a 38-year-old man killed in a suspected gang-related shooting, but officials are still seeking information that could lead to his killer.
Angel Jesus Lopez Balladares, an Anaheim resident, was found shot in the walkway of an apartment complex in the 600 block of Eton Place around 11 a.m. Friday, said Sgt. Bob Dunn of the Anaheim Police Department. Neighbors said they heard gunshots, and then came out to find the man lying on the ground.
Police believe the shooting was gang-related, but they have no information about the shooter or what led to Balladares’ death, Dunn said.
“We’re still looking for witnesses, and we have not yet established a motive,” he said.
